The KFOR mission led by NATO, EULEX and the Kosovo Police will hold a joint exercise tomorrow at Camp Vrella, called “Golden Saber 2024”.
According to KFOR, the exercise will test their ability to implement common crisis management procedures in various security scenarios.
“It will involve a significant number of personnel, vehicles and assets operating across the exercise area, as well as in its surroundings and along the neighbouring main routes.” the communiqué states. “Golden Sabre 2024” is a reflection of our long-standing cooperation and commitment to support lasting security across Kosovo, for the benefit of all communities.
“This joint exercise symbolizes our strong commitment to peace and stability in Kosovo. By uniting our strengths and capabilities, we demonstrate our readiness to address challenges and our dedication to safeguarding regional stability. We look forward to the successful completion of this exercise and the continued cooperation amongst all involved”, said the commander of KFOR, Ozkan Ulutash. KFOR is the third security responder, after the Kosovo Police and the EU Rule of Law mission (EULEX), who act as first and second security responders, respectively.
