KESCO explains the new tariffs approved by ERO

With the decision of the Energy Regulatory Office (ERO) from today have entered into force the new energy tariffs which will be in force until March 31 next year. In which case KESCO said that they are prepared for the implementation of these tariffs. They explained the new tariffs approved by the ERO board.

“KESCO has accepted the decision of ERO for the new energy tariffs that enter into force from February 9 to March 31 next year. ERO has introduced the application of block tariffs for household consumers. KESCO is prepared to implement these tariffs. For consumption up to 800 kWh there is no increase. So, this applies to all consumers and everyone will continue to pay the same price for expenditures up to 800 kWh. The tariff block starting for the consumption over 800 kWh will affect about 22 percent of the consumers. So, for 78 percent of consumers there will be no increase at all. But consumers should be careful after crossing the threshold where the tariff block is placed. This, because the kilowatts spent from 801 onwards have a different price, which promotes the saving of electricity “, it is said in the press release from KESCO.
