The “Award of Courage” is named after Vasfije Krasniqi-Goodman, the heroine who for the first time publicly told her story.
The ‘Ambassador of Courage’ became the voice of 20,000 women, men and girls when through her public confession, she told the world about what she experienced two decades ago. Kadire Tahiraj is the second woman to be honored with this award.
