The Governor of the Bank of England, Andrew Bailey, has sent a letter to the Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo (CBK), Ahmet Ismaili, congratulating him and the CBK on the occasion of marking the 25th anniversary of its establishment.
According to the CBK announcement, the letter highlights the extraordinary progress in building a modern central bank from scratch and appreciates the hard work and determination of all CBK staff.
The announcement also states that Bailey emphasized the importance of the Central Bank in supporting the country’s economy, ensuring a safe payment system and a reliable banking system.
“In addition, the Bank of England delegated the Bank’s Executive Director of Payments, Ms. Victoria Cleland, who participated in the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the CBK, and was a speaker at the International Conference, in the first panel, entitled “SEPA Integration, Digital Transformation and Implications for Financial Services”, the press release states.
