The Federal Reserve of the United States of America (USA), the American central banking system, has increased the basic interest rate by 0.25 percentage points, following its more moderate course.

Currently, the base interest rate is in the range from 4.5 to 4.75%, the Federal Reserve announced yesterday evening. This is the eighth consecutive increase and the smallest step since March last year…
