After the removal of the barricades by the Serbs in Jarinje and Brnjak and the Special Unit of Kosovo, the implementation of the second point of the Brussels agreement has started today, according to which Kosovo and Serbia will cover the state symbols of each other’s license plates, until finding a permanent solution. The implementation of this point is being implemented in Merdare, where all drivers entering Kosovo and those leaving it with RKS or SRB license plates are covering the state symbols.
Although there is less traffic than on September 20, when the decision was made by the Government of Kosovo for reciprocity with Serbia, citizens who crossed the border in Merdare are generally welcoming the agreement reached in Brussels, saying that the new procedure is not taking as long as the the previous one.
