In the framework of the projects of the Academy of Sciences and Arts of Kosovo (KASA) in the field of social science, today was presented the publication “Analysis of the shadow economy in Kosovo”.
This study found out that Kosovo has a high degree of hidden economy of about 40 percent with about 2 billion euros per year or more than the state budget. Member of the Kosovo Academy of Sciences, Isa Mustafa stressed that this analysis provides evidence about the main determinants that affect entrepreneurs, the inclusion of the hidden economy as part of the total economy and offers some economic policy recommendations.
