Members of the Independent Media Commission have denied reports on social networks that the IMC has planned to dismiss the chairman of the IMC, saying that they are false and propaganda. Meanwhile, they have said that in the coming days they will take measures regarding this matter.
Chairman Jeton Mehmeti, during the first meeting for this year, said that this is also the last meeting for him as chairman, as his mandate ends this month.
“This is the first meeting for this year, maybe the last for me as the chairman of the IMC, since my mandate, which was given to me by the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, ends on January 21,” said Mehmeti.
IMC member Besnik Berisha said that the agenda item should be the election of the new chairman, since the current chairman’s mandate expires on January 21.
