Illegal billboard removed in Zveçan, Sveçla: Images of dictators are not acceptable in Kosovo

The billboard with the photos of politicians and other Serbian and Russian dignitaries, who were declared “honorary citizens in Zveçan”, has been removed.

Among them was the photo of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.

The news about this was given by the Minister of the Interior, Xhelal Sveçla, who said that symbols of countries and figures that are aggressive towards our country will not be allowed in any corner of Kosovo as he added that the only symbol of Serbia within our state will be its embassy in Prishtina.

He also said that figures and images “of dictators are not acceptable in Kosovo”.

“Today in Zveçan, illegal billboards with symbols and images of dictators and aggressors, which are unacceptable in the Republic of Kosovo, have been removed. The Republic of Kosovo is clearly defined for its democratic values and Euro-Atlantic orientation, while as institutions we remain committed to law and order and the implementation of constitutionality in every part of our country. These billboards and images of fascists and aggressors like Vladimir Putin and the opponents of our state will not find a place in our state”, said Sveçla.
