The MP of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Eliza Hoxha, stated that in the last two months alone, about 600 teachers have left Kosovo. She said that the current government has ignored and bullied the representatives of the education sector. Hoxha said that the government’s lack of attention is worrying, adding that at the head of the education sector is a divisive minister.
As she congratulated all teachers on Teacher’s Day, Hoxha said that they are facing many challenges.
According to her, schools have not started classes with joy and normality in any year. She said that the strike of the teaching unionists, the ignoring of demands and the lack of dialogue remains a concern.
The PDK MP added that attention to education should be national, institutional and civic mobilization.
