“Do not encourage the perpetrators!” How many times do you want to murder us?”, “No more”, were the protesters’ shouts in front of the Special Prosecution in Prishtina. The Women’s Network has opposed the low sentences imposed by justice institutions. The have asked the justice institutions for help, and to treat these cases seriously. In 2020 alone, six women were killed, and the KWN called alarming figures.
Through a symbolic action, because no more than five people were allowed to be present, justice was sought for every Kosovar woman who experienced violence, and in some cases, they were killed by their husbands. Five minutes of silence were held in memory of the victims. The Women’s Network has expressed indignation about the six women killed this year, demanding justice from every institution that is responsible.
