On March 13, 2020, the first two cases of the SARS-COV-2 virus were recorded. Kosovo, as many countries had done, went towards total closure. Life was paralyzed and for several months the citizens went on forced leave.
However, not for everyone, staying home was a choice. About two months before the first cases were confirmed, the suspected samples were analyzed in the laboratories of the NIPHK, while the Infectious Diseases Clinic was on standby. The KSF and the Kosovo Police also responded to any request to assist in the fight against COVID-19, just as the work of Kosovo Customs and firefighters continued unabated.
