On the 27th anniversary of the death of the Albanian humanist, Mother Teresa, it was requested that bridges of understanding and dialogue leading to peace be created in Kosovo.
In the mass held to honor the work and life of St. Mother Teresa, which was held in the Cathedral that bears her name, many citizens were present.
The archbishop of Tivar, Rrok Gjonlleshaj, had come from Tivar to Kosovo to mark this day, who emphasized that peace is not the absence of war, but the presence of justice and love for each other.
Gjonlleshaj emphasized that it is enough to follow the example of Mother Teresa to stay close to those in need.
Archbishop Gjonlleshaj told the audience that the humanist Mother Teresa is an example from whom everyone should be inspired.
The Archbishop of Tivar, Rrok Gjonlleshaj, in this commemoration and honoring Mass for Mother Teresa, said that she was a link of love and kindness.
Today in Kosovo, the Day of Humanism in Kosovo is also being marked, a decision which was taken by the Government of Kosovo on September 5, 2022 as a sign of respect and commemoration by the Republic of Kosovo for the Albanian humanist, Anjezë Gonxhe Bojaxhiu, known as Mother Teresa.
Today, the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, commemorated Mother Teresa, emphasizing that she remains a beacon of compassion, humility and selfless service to humanity. /B.Ibishi/
