Former President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, arrived in Kosovo on Thursday to visit his father, who is facing health issues.
Increased EULEX forces were seen stationed in front of the Internal Clinic at the University Clinical Center of Kosovo.
Thaçi is currently facing a prolonged judicial process at the Special Court in The Hague and has been in detention since November 2020.
His requests to visit his ailing father had previously been denied several times.
