The System, Transmission and Market Operator (KOSTT) today inaugurated the substation in Ferizaj, a project worth approximately eight million euros, that aims to solve the problems of electricity supply for residents and businesses in this area.
Present at this ceremony was the Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, who emphasized that this investment also affects the reduction of technical losses of 5 thousand megawatt hours of electricity in the network.
“With the inauguration of this substation today, the problems of power supply for the residents and businesses of this area are being solved, and the load reduction for the villages supplied by the interconnected lines in the municipalities of Kaçanik, Shtrpce, including the Brezovica ski center, while it will also have a positive impact on some consumers in the Municipality of Shtime. This investment also affects the reduction of technical losses of 5 thousand megawatt hours in the network. This investment increases the stability of the electricity supply, and eliminates the outages that have occurred earlier, thus improving living conditions, but also enabling more sustainable economic and social development of the city, and the Municipality of Ferizaj”, said Rizvanolli.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors at KOSTT, Gëzim Tosuni, said that the effects of this substation are expected to be felt in the coming days and months in terms of energy.
