The US special envoy for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar, and the European Union’s special envoy for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, said they are committed to preventing any escalation of the situation in Kosovo on September 1st.
After the meetings with the institutional leaders, Escobar said on Wednesday that they have been assured by Kosovo and Serbia that there will be no violence on September 1st, when the two government decisions on illegal license plates and document reciprocity come into force.
