The Energy Regulatory Office (ERO) approved on Monday Alpex’s request for the start of energy trading in the Albanian exchange rate. This process is expected to start from February 1, which for ERO is considered an important step for the country. At today’s meeting of the board of this institution, the chairman Ymer Fejzullahu said that this is the first case of the union of two markets.
According to him, this is a big step and he hopes that it will be an example for other countries for the unification of markets.
Further, he emphasized that it is intended that in the future there will be a union of the market with North Macedonia and Greece.
Meanwhile, Skender Muqolli from the Market Department at ERO emphasized that Alpex’s request for the start of trading meets the conditions.
At the ERO board meeting, Muqolli added that Alpex has completed the first testing period for systems integration.
