The impressive performances of Kosovo star, Edon Zhegrova, are starting to pay off in France.
Zhegrova is having a fantastic season in the French championship with Lille, where they are very close to securing football in European competitions for the next season, respectively for the Champions League, KosovaPress reports.
Lille is fourth in Ligue 1 with 55 points, four more than fifth-placed Nice. Zhegrova has managed to make 44 appearances in all competitions this season for Lille, registering 11 goals and nine assists to his name.
These statistics and his performances are now paying off, as Edon Zhegrova has been nominated for the French Player of the Year award. The Kosovo star is competing with Kylian Mbappe and Ousmane Dembele of PSG, Aubameyang of Marseille and Lees-Melou of Brest.
