A polling station in the village of Lisock in Kamenica failed to open its doors at 07:00 for citizens who have expressed their willingness to vote in this election. This happened due to heavy snowfall, but with an hour delay the road maintenance teams have started cleaning and the election process has continued. By 11:00 in Kamenica, only 7.8 percent of citizens have voted, a percentage that is considered unsatisfactory. This was announced by the official of the MEC in Kamenica, Agim Kastrati, who says for KosovaPress that the other 28 polling stations were opened on time.
Kastrati informs that in some centers there was a lack of conditional ballot envelopes and ultraviolet flashlights. He points out that the number of people who voted by 11:00 is not satisfactory. In 2019, in Kamenica over 38 thousand voters had the right to vote. In today’s snap elections, over 33 thousand people have the right to vote. There are 28 polling centers in the municipality of Kamenica and 50 polling stations. 6 Serbian polling centers and 7 polling stations. Over 40 people are currently infected with COVID in this municipality, but many of them have not expressed willingness to vote in these elections.
