The Kosovo Police arrested four individuals and seized drugs worth around 15,000 euros.
The police operation, code-named “Block,” followed intelligence that certain individuals were involved in drug trafficking.
On Monday, March 24, the Directorate for Investigating Drug Trafficking in Pristina, after carrying out operational work, stopped a suspicious vehicle on the Pristina-Podujevo highway, which contained two male Kosovo suspects. During the vehicle search, 10.4 grams of marijuana were found, and the suspects were taken to the police station.
The operation continued, leading to the identification of a second suspicious vehicle and other individuals involved in the case. Two male Kosovo suspects, despite trying to escape and discarding 420.2 grams of narcotic substances on the ground, were arrested by police investigators.
Following the case, the competent prosecutor was notified, and in coordination with them, police investigators searched the residence used by the suspects, finding: A package containing green material suspected to be marijuana weighing 1,063.8 grams; a bag containing green material suspected to be marijuana weighing 31.8 grams; a quantity of white powder suspected to be cocaine weighing 22.6 grams; and three digital scales.
The Pristina Regional Forensic Unit processed the scene, taking photographs and seizing all the evidence as material proof. Two of the suspects were released by the prosecutor’s order, while the other two were detained for 48 hours./KosovaPress
