The Ministry of Health has announced that the vaccines used by Kosovo against COVID-19 are safe and recommended for women before, during and after pregnancy to help them and their babies stay healthy.
According to the MoH, the antibodies that mothers develop in response to these vaccines not only protect them, but also cross the placenta and help protect their babies from serious diseases early in life.
“Vaccination during pregnancy also helps protect the mother from serious illness and the transmission of that disease to the newborn. Protected mothers-healthy children”, it is said in the announcement.
