On the day of Serbia’s parliamentary and presidential elections, the first citizens to vote in the municipality of Presevo called for greater respect for the rights of Albanians. The coordinator of the election commission, Alban Mehmeti, said that the whole voting process started at 07:00 and that so far there are no irregularities.
Albanian parties in the Presevo Valley are competing with two electoral lists with a total of 20 candidates for MPs.
In the race are the coalition of Albanians United with list holder, Shaip Kamberi and the Albanian Democratic Alternative with list holder, Shqiprim Arifi.
