Christmas is one of the most important celebrations in the Christian holiday calendar, which is celebrated every December 25 to commemorate the birth of the savior Jesus Christ.
The one after Easter is the most important holiday for Christians. The importance of Christmas Day began to grow slowly after the Coronation of Charlemagne in 800 on Christmas Day.
Today, Christmas Day is celebrated with the display of the nativity scene, the Christmas tree, the exchange of gifts and cards, the united family, and the arrival of Saint Nicholas or the New Year’s Eve on Christmas Eve or Christmas morning.
In Christian history, the birth of Jesus brings about the miracle of the incarnation: God makes himself fully human by taking the form of a helpless child. But something wonderful actually happens in every birth.
In fact, we must learn to see every birth as a promise to save the world from the brutality and violence of death. Birth is not simply a natural event that responds to the universal laws of life.
