Former coach of the Kosovo National Team Bernard Challandes has described as a “festival” the friendly match between Switzerland and Kosovo that takes place today starting at 16:00.
He said that for Kosovars this will be a very friendly challenge and that there’s a great deal of respect between the two countries, KosovaPress reports.
“For Kosovars living in Switzerland it will be a real football festival. Away from politics and other problems,” says Challandes, who points out that the people of Kosovo have always regarded the Swiss national team’s triumphs in the past as “their victory.” “When the national team is very successful, you also see Swiss flags hanging in Pristina,” Challandes told the Swiss media “20min”.
Challandes led the Kosovo National Team from 2018 until 2021.
