CDBK to the Government: You have blocked hundreds of businesses and thousands of jobs

The Chamber of Doing Business in Kosovo (CDBK) today addressed a letter to Prime Minister Albin Kurti, Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi, Ministers Faton Peci, and Liburn Aliu, and the ICMM to express the concern about the lack of coordination of institutions, as a result of which, hundreds of businesses and thousands of jobs have been blocked.

Through this letter, the CDBK has asked the Prime Minister and the relevant ministers to urgently unlock these businesses, so as not to lead to a chain collapse, and cause extraordinary losses for businesses, employees, and revenues for the country.

This reaction comes as a result of the non-response of Kosovo institutions, respectively MAFRD, MESPI and ICMM, as the CDBK has been requesting individual or even joint meetings for a long time, so that hundreds of applications that have been filed for a long time now be processed, and the continuation of work for these businesses is allowed.

The CDBK has once again requested from Minister Peci, Minister Alium and the ICMM, already publicly, an urgent meeting to address and resolve these issues.

The main problem is the non-renewal of approvals and contracts by the Kosovo Forest Agency, and approvals and environmental permits by MESPI, as a result of which the ICMM has been blocked.

The CDBK and businesses are ready and waiting to meet at any time to address and resolve the issue.
