The Chamber of Doing Business in Kosovo (CDBK) requests from the Prime Minister of the country, Albin Kurti and the Government of Kosovo to urgently propose an amendment to the Law on Official Holidays in the Republic of Kosovo, in order to act as any European country does.
In a press release, the CDBK also states that “The current practice is to replace the holidays that are on the weekend, with holidays during working days, namely Article 4 of the Law on Official Holidays, according to which ‘When official holidays referred to in Article 2 of this law fall on Saturday or Sunday, holidays will be the next working days’, is a practice which has damaged and is damaging the country not only in financial terms but also in terms of international reputation “, because no other country replaces the holiday with another date”, it is said in the press release.
