The acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Albania, Gent Cakaj, announces that at the virtual meeting of the 130th Session of the Committee of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Council of Europe, a request was submitted for Kosovo’s membership in the Council of Europe.
Cakaj wrote on Facebook that Kosovo’s support in the Council of Europe is not only historically just and politically reasonable, but it is also a direct contribution to strengthening democracy, the rule of law and fundamental rights and freedoms in Europe.
