The high representative of the European Union, Josep Borrell, has stated that the Western Balkans Region as a whole has the duty to fight against violence, against traffickers, against trafficking, to prevent them from contaminating the entire continent.
Borrell made these comments during the high-level meeting on the implementation of specific actions for South-East Europe of the EU action plan on firearms trafficking 2020-2025, including the implementation of the regional roadmap for the comprehensive control of small arms and light (SAL) in the Western Balkans.
