The President of Albania, Bajram Begaj, on the 25th anniversary of the liberation of Kosovo, has stated that Albanians need to be together even today when Serbia and its allies have mobilized diplomatic and media capacities in a completely malicious campaign to tarnish the righteous struggle of the Albanians for the liberation of Kosovo.
Begaj, in the solemn session of the Assembly of Kosovo in honor of the 25th anniversary of the liberation of Kosovo, said that on such sacred anniversaries for Albanians, they bow before the martyrs and prominent figures who with their lives and works for the independence of Kosovo left an indelible mark on the memory and history of the Albanian nation.
He added that the international intervention stopped the ethnic cleansing and they were the drafters of Kosovo’s citizenship.
Begaj said that Albanians have a responsibility to maintain and strengthen peace, security and development.
