The Mayor of Presheva, Shqiprim Arifi, accuses the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, of dividing the political spectrum in the Presheva Valley. He calls them servants of the chief executive, Ardita Sinani and Shaip Kamberi, as he adds that the same is trying to rule in these municipalities. In fact, Arifi says they were betrayed in the dialogue, since the Ohrid agreement does not foresee reciprocity with Serbia. In the interview for KosovaPress, he also talks about the three million allocated by the government, the aggression in Banjska of Zveçan and Serbia’s approach to the Albanians of the Presheva Valley.
The mayor of Presheva, Shqiprim Arifi, says that he was not invited to any of the meetings that Prime Minister Albin Kurti held with representatives of the valley.
Furthermore, Arifi accuses the prime minister of dividing the political spectrum in the Presheva Valley.
He is also critical of the amount of three million euros, which has been foreseen for the Presheva Valley. He even says that a corruption scandal occurred in last year’s budget as well.
Arifi says that the governance of Ardita Sinani has inherited some problems, which were also legal and then they were confronted in the courts.
He says that the tense situation in the north of Kosovo has also affected the Valley, where no project has been financed by Serbia.
The head of Presheva states that the passivation of addresses has continued during the year 2023, where Albanians are deprived of their property and civil rights. Addressing these discriminations, according to him, is missing from official Prishtina and Tirana.
The mayor of Presheva, Shqiprim Arifi, demands reciprocity in the agreement with Serbia, for which he considers that such a thing has been violated with the Ohrid agreement.
He also talks about the emigration of young people from the Valley, as he is proud that 400 to 500 young people have managed to find employment within the year. /Sh. Pajaziti
