Ahmeti: Kosovo has come this far in cooperation with the international community

The chairman of the Democratic Union for Integration (DUI), Ali Ahmeti, said that Kosovo must act in coordination with the international community. According to him, states have continuously been built with alliances, for which he considers that local institutions should do the same. While talking about Kosovo’s decision to ban the dinar and the impact on relations with the USA, Ahmeti assesses that friendships should be expanded and there should be no objections in the councils of the international community.

The head of DUI from North Macedonia said that Kosovo should continue communication with Washington and Brussels.

While commenting on the current situation in Kosovo on the 16th anniversary of the declaration of Kosovo’s Independence, Ali Ahmeti considers that our country should make progress year after year.

The US Assistant Secretary of State, James O’Brien, said on Tuesday that Kosovo is jeopardizing the partnership with the United States of America, after the decision to ban the Serbian dinar.

A day later, Prime Minister Albin Kurti said that Kosovo has no more important partner, ally or friend than the United States of America.

Meanwhile, yesterday the American ambassador, Jeffrey Hovenier, stated that Kosovo’s decision to implement the regulation of the Central Bank of Kosovo for the banning of the Serbian dinar, has affected the quality of relations between the United States and the Government of Kosovo. /Sh. Pajaziti/
