The role of the diaspora in the Kosovar economy represents the greatest capital, not only economic but also social and cultural. This was said on the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Global Network of Albanian Businesses.
About 350 businesses have gathered in this organization, of which 100 are from Kosovo and others from the diaspora, which have presented their work and explored the potential for cooperation.
The Chairman of the Global Network of Albanian Businesses, Lazim Destani, has said that the diaspora should pay as much attention to investments in Kosovo and the Albanian provinces, since according to him, they are facing the disturbing phenomenon of youth leaving the country.
Meanwhile, the deputy director of the USAID mission in Kosovo, Kerry Monaghan-Hogler, has stated that this network has brought extraordinary opportunities to unite Kosovo and the diaspora around trade.
Likewise, the representative of the global network for branches in Europe, Yll Blakaj, said that the dream of Albanians is to influence the economic development of their countries.
Meanwhile, the president of the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce, Lulzim Rafuna, emphasized that in recent years there has been an extraordinary growth of Kosovar companies, which are ready to compete in the competitive markets of the European Union by showing their innovation.
This activity takes place on May 17-18, where businesses can display their work.
