About 24 thousand families in Kosovo depend on social assistance. Over 93 thousand inhabitants of the country live in poverty and with state support. The Kosovo Agency of Statistics does not have data on the number of citizens who live in this condition, the last ones belong to 2017. Meanwhile, the Kosovo Red Cross annually distributes over 10,000 food and hygiene packages to families living in poor financial conditions.
