For the elections to the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, the State Prosecutor has made all the necessary preparations to ensure the protection of the vote.
This is stated in the announcement from the prosecutor’s office, adding that around 100 prosecutors and a sufficient number of personnel from the prosecutorial system have been engaged in these elections.
They will be on duty until the completion of the election process, with the aim of addressing any irregularities that may occur in this year’s elections.
“Prosecutors will stay in their offices in cities where there are basic prosecutors’ offices, while in places where the prosecutor’s office does not have an office, prosecutors will stay at police stations. There, in cooperation with investigators from the Kosovo Police, they will ensure the protection of citizens’ free votes. Meanwhile, the national election coordinator, prosecutor Laura Pula, will supervise the overall implementation of the tasks of the regional coordinators, engaged prosecutors, and the prosecutor on duty at the CEC,” the announcement states.
The State Prosecutor has called on the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, all political parties, institutions, and various organizations to report to the relevant prosecutors any case they suspect that involves the misuse or manipulation of votes in any way and by anyone.
