Kosovo will have slow economic growth this year as well due to inflation and the challenging economic situation for the country. The level of this growth for 2023, according to the economy expert, Florin Aliu, is expected to be between 3 and 4 percent.
Aliu says that this rate is insufficient for sustainable economic development and for reducing unemployment. Meanwhile, in the last year the country had a Gross Domestic Product (GDP) rate of around 3 percent.
The professor in the Czech Republic, Aliu, in an interview for KosovaPress, says that the economic crisis in the country has not been properly addressed by the government.
Aliu criticizes the government for doubling the property tax and for the coefficient of 105 euros for salaries, which according to him, there is a reduction of salaries in some sectors with the coefficient already approved in the Assembly.
