2 deaths and 234 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the last 24 hours in Kosovo. According to the National Institute of Public Health of Kosovo (NIPHK), one case of death is in the Municipality of Prishtina and one in the Municipality of Prizren. During the last 24 hours, in the Laboratory of Molecular Microbiology in NIPHK and private laboratories with the RT-PCR method, a total of 2,405 samples taken from the HUCSK and the tracking of case contacts in the field were tested, of which 234 cases resulted positive.
Within 24 hours 2 deaths were reported with SARS CoV-2 positive. Death cases are from the municipalities: Prishtina 1 case (51 years old) and Prizren 1 case (59 years old). The total number of positive cases is 62,782 out of 254,568 people suspected of being infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, while the total number of deaths is 1,528. During the last 24 hours, 209 patients have been cured, the total number of cured to date is 54,440 cases, while the number of active cases is 6,814.
