Only 122 citizens exercised their right to vote until 15:00 in Leposavic
This is what the assistant chairman of the Municipal Election Commission (MEC), Selim Mehmeti, told KosovaPress.
The number of citizens in Leposavic with the right to vote is over 13,000, in eight polling stations.
The largest party of Serbs in Kosovo “Serbian List”, which is supported by Belgrade, has called for a boycott of these elections.
In order to dismiss the mayors, there must be at least 50 percent plus one voter with the right to vote, in each of the four municipalities in the north of Kosovo.
This vote in the four northern municipalities is organized based on the administrative instruction drawn up by the government, after the pressure of the international community for the announcement of new elections in the municipalities in the north. /Sh. Pajaziti
