Fatmir Sejdiu resigned from the post of President of Kosovo on September 27, 2010. His resignation came as a result of the decision of the Constitutional Court, which found that Sejdiu has committed a serious violation of the Constitution, by holding the post of President and the post of the LDK chairman, although with frozen functions.
Sejdiu made public his decision to resign during a conference, through which he addressed the citizens.
