A group of volunteer MPs of the Assembly of Kosovo has established the “Green Group of MPs”, chaired by Haki Abazi.
This was announced by Abazi himself, who through an announcement on Facebook also showed the scope of this volunteer group.
“On the basis of Article 74 of the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, as well as in accordance with Article 25 of the Regulation of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, the group of MPs of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, today, to the President of the VIIIth Legislature of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, we presented the Notice on the Establishment of the Voluntary Group “Green Group of MPs”.
The scope of the voluntary group of MPs of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo called “Green Group of MPs” is:
1. The legal framework of the Republic of Kosovo;
2. European Green Agenda;
3. The Paris Climate Agreement;
4. Glasgow Treaty;
5. Conference of the Parties;
6. Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations;
7. Liaison with permanent and functional parliamentary committees;
8. Monitoring the implementation of legislation in the field of sustainable development;
9. Discussions with interest groups and involvement in public debates;
10. Consultations with civil society, citizens, interest groups”, wrote Abazi.
He added that the expansion and inclusion of other MPs will be done according to the interest and presentation of other MPs of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo.
