In today’s session in the Specialized Chambers in The Hague, against the former heads of the Kosovo Liberation Army, the Office of the Specialized Prosecutor proposed that the trial begin in the summer of 2021.
This was opposed by the defense, according to which at least 18 months are needed for investigation and the trial may start in the summer of 2022. The defense of former President Hashim Thaci, David Hooper called absurd the proposal to start the trial in the summer of the upcoming year.
