31 new buses will be purchased for the capital, some of them electric, with which the addition of new lines is expected. And while it is announced that ticket prices will be increased by 10 cents, in the municipality of Pristina, they say that the price increase is a request of the EBRD, which comes as a result of the increase in the prices of fuel.
The Director of Public Services in the Municipality of Pristina, Ilirik Musliu, in an interview for KosovaPress, announced that in September the procedure for the new buses will begin, which foresees the arrival of 31 buses. He also added that there will be 6-8 electric buses, for new lines.
Musliu indicated that they have made calculations regarding ticket prices and have come up with results that it is impossible to operate with the current price of fuel, as within the request of the EBRD, it has been argued that they seek financial stability. Therefore, in September, there will be a 10 cent increase in the ticket price, from 40 cents to 50 cents.
