The international agreement between the Government of Kosovo and the International Development Association on the project of reforming the social assistance system in Kosovo has failed to be approved by the Assembly again.
PDK and LDK MPs voted against, while only 63 MPs were in favor.
Previously, on behalf of the Government, MCYS Minister Hajrulla Çeku, presenting this agreement, said that it is worth 47 million euros and is of special importance.
“This project has already been discussed once, however with the opposition objections, for the first time in our country an international agreement has not been ratified in the Assembly. Considering the special importance of this agreement for the reform of the social scheme in Kosovo, today we are again processing the draft law for the ratification of the agreement for the “Project for the reform of the social assistance system in Kosovo”, he said.
The same agreement months ago failed to be approved by the Assembly.
