The country is continuing to face an increase in cases in recent days, the data released on Tuesday showed that there were 368 new cases of COVID-19 out of over 2,800 tests performed. The total number of positive cases is 67,008 out of 291,847 people suspected of being infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus, while the total number of deaths is 1,579.
Based on NIPHK data, the total number of recovered to date is 58,600 cases, while the number of active cases is 6829. As the days go by, Kosovo remains the only country in the Balkans that has not received a single dose of COVID-19 vaccine, whereas the authorities promised that the vaccine will be available in February but with four days left until the end of the month there is still no date when they will arrive in Kosovo.
