The President of the country, Vjosa Osmani on the World Press Freedom Day, has expressed her consideration for the professional and courageous media. Osmani has encouraged the media to continue their efforts for fair and impartial reporting, as freedom of the press is a basic precondition for the democratic functioning of society.
“Freedom is an attribute of the natural state, as Freedom of the Press should be. Of a society where every day we create space to hear the different opinions and where everyone feels free to say what they think. Dear media / journalists, best wishes on your day! Research, provide evidence, draw conclusions based on them. Truth must be the permanent cause of all,” she wrote.
