Over 1,400 asset declarations have been submitted to the Agency for Prevention of Corruption by Friday, with one week left until the deadline. There are about 5,000 officials who are obliged to declare their assets, otherwise they will face fines and criminal charges.
Currently, there are over 1,400 people who have already started the declaration, while another 2,000 have not started this process at all.
The director of the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, Yll Buleshkaj, says that they have contacted each official individually, informing them of the consequences they may face in case of non-declaration of assets.
