The acting Minister of Economy and Environment (MEA), Muharrem Nitaj received today in a meeting the members of the board and management of Trepca, where it was discussed about the problems that the company Trepca is facing in repaying its debts to economic operators and in particular the debt it owes to KEDS for the energy spent.
Minister Nitaj has asked the board and management of Trepca to reduce costs as much as possible. It was also requested to consider the possibility of debt rescheduling. The Minister was also informed about the economic shock that Trepca has suffered from the economic crisis caused as a result of the pandemic, as there has been reductions in the selling price of the mineral concentrate.
