Excavations for the remains of the victims of the 1998-99 war in Kosovo, resumed on 5 May, have continued in Kizhevak, Raska, Serbia. According to a government statement, during these days, in order to create possibilities to continue the exhumation of bones, mortal remains, of war victims, the land was deconstructed to begin with appraisal excavations, including the removal of soil and stones thrown at this mass grave site during 1999 and the first post-war years.
The Government of the Republic of Kosovo says that it remains committed to continue its work by giving priority to shedding light on the fate and whereabouts of the missing, better legal and institutional treatment of their families and the establishment of justice.
