Association of Journalists of Kosovo expresses concern about the difficult and unsafe working environment for journalists today in the northern municipalities of Kosovo. According to reports, several journalists of different Albanian media were attacked in the “Bosniak neighborhood” in North Mitrovica and another incident occurred on the way to Leposavic where protesters chased cars with journalists on them.
Meanwhile, there were attacks and pressure on journalists of the local portal “Kossev”, by protesters. As a result, the newsroom has withdrawn its teams from the field. AJK calls on the Kosovo Police to provide security for journalists to carry out their work unhindered.
