The Basic Prosecutor’s Office in Gjakova has given details about Tuesday’s action against usury, saying that it raided the houses of seven defendants, in 10 different locations in Gjakova. Around 90 police officers participated in this action.
During the raid, material evidence and suspicious items were found, whereas 16 cars, two motorcycles, 5 different types of weapons, USBs, phones, documents, contracts, registers, money and other evidence were seized, which are suspected to be benefited by committing the criminal offense of usury.
After the end of the action, five people were arrested under the suspicion of having committed the criminal offense of “Usury” from Article 331 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo, while two other people are on the run and the police are looking for them.
