Kosovo judoka Akil Gjakova lost in the quarterfinals to Mongolia’s rival, Oshir Tsend. Akil also has a chance for the bronze medal, where he has to win two more matches.
Akil previously won against his opponents, Sweden’s Tommy Macias, fifth in the world rankings, followed by Nils Stump of Switzerland and Ahmed Ayash of Yemen. The European champion competed in the category up to 73 kg of judo.
